Tammy Pollan of
Shell, Wyoming was thumbing through a Western magazine when she
spotted some exquisite jewelry. "I can make that, and for much less,"
she thought to herself, and Cowgirl Bling was born.
The Pollans are
an active rodeo family, traveling every weekend to a different show
during the summer. Winter, though, brings a slower pace, affording
time for creativity.
Tammy, a barrel
racer, has blended her eye for style with her love of rodeo and now
creates jewelry that adds zest and sparkle to any cowgirl's attire.
Items are made from natural stones and feature silver conchos with a
western design.
Tammy also makes
custom western pieces including rope bowls and sequined bronc halters
and belts. The rope bowls are made out of her husband Keeton's team
roping ropes, which can make the pieces sentimental as well as
attractive.
Another way that
Tammy adds individual personalization to create unique and sentimental
gifts is to use parts of worn cowboy boots to frame mirrors and
pictures.
Samples of
Cowgirl Bling items are presently on display at Probst Western Wear in
Greybull, Wyoming.
Special orders
are accepted.
